Curriculum Associates

As part of the Educator Success Design Team at Curriculum Associates, I craft functional, impactful materials across both digital and print mediums, helping teachers, administrators, and families engage with the brand’s diverse curricula. Each project is driven by a commitment to clarity, accessibility, and a deep understanding of the needs of educators.

I thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments, always eager to expand my skillset and contribute to my team's success. I introduced Figma to my team, developing a comprehensive library of resources that transformed cross-functional workflows. Constantly evolving my capabilities, I also taught myself tools like Adobe After Effects, Turtl, Premiere, and Pendo to fill in any gaps and better support my colleagues.

Working at Curriculum Associates has refined my ability to navigate established design guidelines while recognizing when to push those boundaries for greater impact. I’ve mastered the art of juggling multiple projects simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines without compromising quality. Most importantly, I’ve learned how to seamlessly balance function with beauty in design—creating materials that are not only effective but visually compelling.

Quickstart Module

I was tasked with designing visuals for the new iReady Quickstart module, a tutorial in Pendo aimed at familiarizing teachers and administrators with the internal testing and resource portals across the Curriculum Associates brands. The goal was to create visuals that would not only align with the website’s design but also drive higher engagement with the tutorial, ensuring that more educators were equipped with the knowledge they needed.

I crafted a sleek, vector preview icon that integrated key aspects of what educators could learn through the program while sparking curiosity and excitement. To maintain consistency across the module, I designed matching title banners that flowed seamlessly through each chapter. To take the experience further, I incorporated motion design, creating a dynamic GIF that rewarded users for completing the tutorial, reinforcing the sense of accomplishment.

Success Guide Book Covers

The Success Guides are key resources for educators, previously designed with a consistent look across all brands. In 2025, the team shifted to align the covers more closely with each brand’s unique identity. This meant redesigning playful, juvenile student book designs for a more mature audience of educators.

All of my proposed covers were selected, a big win given the competition from senior designers with years of experience. I focused on balancing brand consistency with fresh, educator-friendly designs that would get teachers excited to dive into the curriculum.

iReady Pro Materials

When iReady Pro, a reimagined version of the reading and math curriculum for older students, was launched, I was tasked with redesigning several worksheets based on the updated guidelines. iReady Pro aimed to create a more mature, respectful environment for older students catching up on essential literacy and math skills. The challenge was to transform the worksheets—initially designed for younger students—into something that felt age-appropriate for older learners, while still incorporating essential visual aids for students developing their reading skills.

I updated the existing icons and illustrations, elevating them to a more mature aesthetic while staying true to the program's digital identity. By integrating more sophisticated, contemporary color schemes and design elements, I ensured the materials felt both age-appropriate and engaging, encouraging older students to feel confident as they worked through the curriculum.
